Into the Castle is an adventurous extension since it’s taking the Into the Valley project outside of Europe, all the way to Cape Town. The focus will still be on advanced electronic music but more local African artists will be included in the lineup, paying homage to the lands where ancient rhythms were born. The overall concept will be applied also here, and the castle itself will certainly make its mark on the whole experience.
The Castle of Good Hope is the oldest existing colonial building in South Africa, built by the Dutch East India Company between 1666 and 1679. The fort was functioned as a replenishment station for ships passing the Cape on travels between the Netherlands and Indonesia. Later on parts of the castle was used as a prison and in 1936 the castle was declared as a historical monument.
After slow sales in 2018 the brand has been put to death.
