Top 100 Electronic Festivals in Germany - 2019

Based on the lineup in the year 2018

Sauerkraut, beer, and cars. German clichés? Maybe. But electronic music is definitely more than that. German electronic festivals are among the best in the world, and we will show you the best of the best.

After analyzing thousands of DJ bookings we can tell you which festivals have the ultimate electronic lineup. This list represents festivals in Germany that had the most popular electronic acts in their lineup in the last year.

The score of a festival is calculated by adding DJ points of all electronic artist who played there in 2018. Each individual act has a score based on the number of festival bookings in the last three years and can be found in our top 100 acts list.

Our first place and one of the biggest electronic festival in Germany! 80,000 EDM fans came to ParookaVille in 2018 and danced to the sound of 250 DJs on 10 stages. Once a year the festival city ParookaVille comes to life to celebrate electronic music and give the visitors a magical place to escape from their dreary daily lives and dive into a world of dreams. Grab your visa for the 2019 edition of the number one electronic festival Germany as long as they last.

Our second place offers you a first-class experience for the finest EDM and Hardstyle music. Encircled by a mighty forest Airbeat One takes place on a former airport – enough space for 55,000 people celebrating together. Last year, the festival’s theme was all about “United Kingdom” which was reflected in elaborate replicas of Tower Bridge and London Eye. In total, almost 170 acts and DJs heated up the enthusiastic audience.

In the heart of Europe, in the middle of the city of Frankfurt, lies our third place: World Club Dome sparkles the glamour of a club paired with the open air feeling of a festival. Thanks to a unique rope construction that can close the roof of the Commerzbank-Arena within 15 minutes, the "largest club in the world" guarantees a rainproof festival experience. In 2018, more than 160,000 visitors in 3 days celebrated together with 200 DJs, acts and artist on over 20 stages to all genres in electronic music. We can’t wait to experience the 2019 edition.

Sonne Mond Sterne means sun, moon, and stars in English. It is one of the oldest electronic festivals in Germany and is situated next to a lake where visitors can cool off between all the hot beats. Besides two large main stages and additional club tents, there is a sports field, a party boat and much more worth to check out. The festival is regularly attended by 40,000 visitors.

Our fourth place is at the world-famous race track Nürburgring in the scenic Eifel. In 2018 70,000 fans came to New Horizons festival to experience a journey through a dreamlike kingdom with obscure figures, illusive installations and the choice between seven stages presented by brands such as Q-Dance, Armada, and HYTE presenting 100 of the best DJs. The still quite young festival has become one of the most coveted EDM festivals in Europe.

At Nature One, visitors can choose between more than 20 floors - and the camping ground! Yes, the camping ground became too a second festival because of all its hobby DJs and commercially organized trucks. But of course there are also the four main stages: The Open Air Floor where mostly trance is played, techno lovers should visit the Century Circus, whereas house and minimal enthusiasts better not miss the House of House. Besides that, the 54.000 visitors each day can also hang out at multiple smalle club partner floors that cover any electronic genre there is. This year the festival celebrates its 25th anniversary so we are very curious to see what the organizers will surprise us with this time.

Only a handful of techno festivals made their way from the beginning of Techno into what it became today. TimeWarp Germany was founded in 1994 and celebrates its 25th Jubilee in 2019. The lineup is always huge and restricted to pure Techno and Deephouse. The light show each year is out of this world and makes Time Warp the number one indoor Techno rave of Europe right before the summer festival season starts.

Fusion Festival is not only an electronic music festival in Nothern Germany. Instead, it’s all about featuring music, art, film, theater and more while celebrating the diversity of people and individual freedom. Held on a former Russian military airfield, the stages are set in an old aircraft hangar. The demand for tickets is so high that there is a lottery each end of the year, so if you don't have your 2019 ticket yet you will have to try your luck in the 2020 lottery.

Q-Base was the leading Hardstyle Festival in Germany for 15 years. Q-Base was held for the last time in 2018 and will stay in our memories forever.  Q-Dance announced a brand new festival for September 2019 that will also take place at the Weezer Airport and surely find its place on the Germany Hardstyle Festival map once the details are available.

World Club Dome Winter Edit is the little brother of the Summer World Club Dome. Also, it just started some years ago it has already become the leading winter event in Germany. The 3-day indoor Festival in 2018 had twenty floors under one roof which welcomed more than 100 DJs to escape the cold German winter for a magical weekend.
